MONTHLY, 3rd Saturday Art Walk
Placerville Art Walk, Starts at 5pm until about 9pm 
Dates: JUN 20 JUL 18, AUG 15, SEP 19, OCT 17, NOV 24, DEC 19
Historic Downtown Placerville.  Main Street galleries and merchants host changing art shows and late night shopping every third Saturday of the month.  Demonstrations, refreshments, music and more. 

Mid-JUNE through SEPTEMBER
Wednesday Night Farmers Market, 5PM-Dusk. 
This event will feature fresh produce, flowers and other items from local farmers.  On Historic Main Street, near the Bell Tower. For info call (530) 647-0744.

JUNE through SEPTEMBER
Music in the Courtyard, from 1PM - 4PM
At the Fountain Plaza Courtyard on Historic Main Street, come tap your toes to some great jazz or blues music with a new featured band every time.  Admission is free.  This year’s dates will be 6/27, 7/11, 7/25, 8/15, 8/29, 9/12, 9/26. AUGUST 9th
Craft Faire, 8AM - 3PM
Historic Downtown Placerville Main Street closes to host the 13th Annual Craft Faire with over 100 artisans from all over the West featuring pottery, woodwork, quilted and decorating items, dolls, garden items, soaps, candles, jewelry, food, and much, much more.  Admission and parking are free.  [Craft Faire Vendor Agreement] Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association. SEPTEMBER 12th
Girls’ Night Out, 6PM to 9PM. 
This event focuses on activities that appeal to women.   Historic Main Street merchants stay open late for shopping, fashion shows, floral arranging, special sales, crafting demos, free drawings, health and beauty demos, massage, restaurant specials, samplings of olive oil, wine, cheese, chocolate, and much more.  Sponsored by Placerville Downtown Association.  For info call (530) 672-3436.

OCTOBER 17th
Art & Wine Festival, 6PM – 9PM. 
Over 35 foothill wineries will offer samples of their wines inside merchant locations on Historic Main Street in Placerville.  In addition, the works of many local artists will be featured and the “Banners on VParade” [View the Banners] community art project will be displayed with the banners to be auctioned for sale that evening.  Music at The Bell Tower, art demonstrations & hors d’oeuvres, too. TICKETS ARE LIMITED for the wine-tasting (but the music is free) and will be available for $30 each in September at Main Street merchants or by visiting www.placervilledowntown.com. OCTOBER 31st
Trick or Treat on Main Street, 4PM to 6PM
In Historic Downtown Placerville.  Historic Main Street merchants will provide goodies to trick-or-treaters (while supplies last) in a safe and convenient environment.  Sponsored by Historic Main Street merchants.  Other activities will include a costume contest and carnival and are sponsored by Placerville Parks & Recreation, Placerville 20/30 Club and Placerville Lions Club.  For info call (530) 672-3436.

NOVEMBER 27th
Festival of Lights, 5:30PM – 8PM
On Historic Main Street in Placerville, the old-fashioned festivities will close Historic Main Street and begin around 5:30PM at various locations up and down Main Street with music, entertainment, Santa, stagecoach rides, Holly Jolly Trolley rides (to outlying parking lots), and the tree-lighting at 6PM at the Courthouse.  Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association.  For info call (530) 672-3436.

NOVEMBER 27th & 28th
Merchants Open House, Extended Hours. 
Historic Main Street merchants welcome visitors with coffee, cider and seasonal goodies.  Enjoy hometown holiday shopping and hospitality in one convenient setting.  Free parking, entertainment, stagecoach rides and visits with Santa.  Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association.  For info call (530) 672-3436. 

DECEMBER 6th
32nd Annual Christmas Parade 1PM.
This big parade takes place rain or shine and starts at the Mountain Democrat parking lot on upper Broadway in Placerville and continues down Main Street.  Sponsored by Jim & Cathy  McIntire.  For info call (530) 621-5885.
