MONTHLY, Third Saturday, Stagecoach Rides
12PM to 3PM. Historic Downtown Placerville, at The Bell Tower. Free stagecoach rides on Historic Main Street will be featured every 3rd Saturday of the month (except June & September) and are provided by Davey "Doc" Wiser and his cowboy crew. For information please call PDA at (530) 672-3436.

May 16, 2015: Girls Night Out
6PM – 9PM. This fun event focused on activities that appeal to women. The 8th Annual Girls Night Out featured a "ducky" Roaring 20's theme! Merchants stayed open late to showcase all the great things they had to offer. Check in was at the Bell Tower where you could pick up a program and buy a Scavenger Hunt card or "Prohibition Cocktail." Activities included entertainment, games, photo booths, prize drawings, scavenger hunt, health and beauty specials, restaurant specials, dance demos, sales & promotions, chocolate, olive oil samplings, wine & beer specials, man caves, tarot readings, and much more. MAY 17, 2015: Hangtown Car Show
9AM – 3PM on Historic Main Street, Placerville. Sponsored by Placerville Lions Club. Participation was limited by the number of spaces available. Admission and parking were free for spectators. For info and pre-registration to show a car please call Mike at (530) 622-1731 for the 2016 show!

This event featured fresh produce, flowers and other items from local farmers on Historic Main Street in the Ivy House lot near Cedar Ravine. For info call (530) 622-1900.
JUNE 6, 2015: Wagon Train on Main
12PM – 3PM. Historic Main Street welcomed the Highway 50 Association's 66th Annual Wagon Train with a host of fun activities including Server's Races, Gold-Panning, Corn Hole Tournament (new this year!), Wild West Shoot-outs, Country Music, Children's Games, Historical Displays, Food, Beer & more. The Wagon Train came down Historic Main Street at about 2PM and proceeded to the End of the Trail celebration on Placerville Drive. Events on Main Street were scheduled for 12PM-3PM. Banners on Parade
This community art project featured artistically decorated banners on light poles along Main Street in Placerville. This is an annual collaborative effort of artists, businesses, organizations, individuals and city government that promotes the arts in historic downtown Placerville. These beautiful banners were displayed on Main Street and sold at a Silent Auction at the October, 2015, Art & Wine Festival. For more info contact (530) 672-3436. JUNE 27, 2015: Bell Tower Brewfest
6PM – 9PM on Historic Main St. This popular Placerville event was hosted by downtown merchants and included a street closure for the enjoyment and safety for all patrons.Entertainment featured the Shari Puorto Band, Shauna Lea & the Hired Guns, and Lady & The Tramps who performed live during the festival. July 25, 2015: National Dance Day
3PM – 8PM. The biggest dance event of the year! A free festival promoting health and dance in the community. There were performances by local dance studios showcasing different styles of dance. Art and street vendors. Food, beer, and wine were available for purchase. Folks danced the night away to live entertainment from the Tepid Club of Cool! 8AM – 3PM in Historic Downtown Placerville.

8AM – 11AM. Main Street was closed to host this important Motorcycle Run that raises awareness and funds for the fight against domestic violence. Funds raised help support The Center for Violence Free Relationships. For info, see kaciesrideforhope.com or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2015: Placerville Oktoberfest
3PM – 8PM. This fun event featured German music (complete with Chicken Dances and polkas!), Wiener Dog Races, Children's Games, Adult/Beer-related Games, Bavarian Dance Demos, and bratwurst, sauerkraut, strudel & beer. OCTOBER 1 – 31, 2015: Pink in the Night
To recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink lights are featured in the windows on Historic Main Street and on the Bell Tower during the month of October. This project is sponsored by Images of Hope and Marshall Medical Center, and was also featured at the Placerville Downtown Association's Art & Wine Festival on Oct. 17th on Main St. For more info please contact (530) 672-7050.
OCTOBER 17, 2015: Art & Wine Festival
6PM – 9PM. Over 30 foothill wineries offered samples of their wines inside merchant locations on Historic Main Street in Placerville. In addition, the works of many local artists were featured in the galleries, the Banners On Parade community art project was displayed and the banners were sold during the silent auction that evening, and the Images of Hope Project was featured too. There was music at the Bell Tower, art demonstrations & hors d’oeuvres. You could sample award-winning wines in one convenient location without driving to all the wineries! OCTOBER 31, 2015: Trick or Treat on Main Street
4PM – 6PM in Historic downtown Placerville. Main Street merchants hand out candy (while supplies last) to trick-or-treaters for this great family event. There will be a DJ at the Bell Tower and a Costume Contest (sponsored by the 20-30 Club) at 6PM. Town Hall will also host a Carnival for children 10 and under (sponsored by The Placerville Lions Club). For info call (530 672-3436).

NOVEMBER 27, 2015: Festival of Lights
5:30PM – 8PM on Historic Main Street in Placerville. The old-fashioned festivities will close Historic Main Street and begin around 5:30PM at various locations up and down Main Street with music, entertainment, visits with Santa, and the tree-lighting at 6PM at the Courthouse. NOVEMBER & December: Stagecoach Rides
Stagecoach rides will be available throughout the season on most weekends in Historic Downtown Placerville. This year, rides are available (in good weather) at the Bell Tower on November 27th starting at 4pm (for the first 100 riders only) and on the following dates from 12pm – 3pm: November 28th, December 5th, 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th. NOVEMBER 27 – DECEMBER 24: Merry Merchant Marketplace
Participating merchants will be providing Wish List cards for customers and visitors to write in what gifts they want for the holidays, and where to buy them on Main Street. Then, simply present the Wish List to whoever is doing the shopping! Also part of the Buy/Shop Local campaign is a Christmas Tree tie-in with local Christmas Tree Growers and farms. Present a Christmas tree receipt at participating Merry Merchant Marketplace businesses on Main St. and receive special offers and discounts (look for the Christmas Tree sign in the window). NOVEMBER 27 & DECEMBER 12, 2015: Visits with Santa
1PM - 4PM. Santa will be arriving in Historic Downtown Placerville to listen to those special wishes on November 27th at River City Bank (348 Main) from 6:15-7:30pm and December 12th at CandyStrike Emporium (398 Main) from 1-4pm. DECEMBER 6, 2015: 37th Annual Christmas Parade
This big Holiday Parade takes place rain or shine and starts at the Broadway Plaza parking lot on upper Broadway in Placerville at 1pm and continues down Main Street. Sponsored by The Mountain Democrat and benefitting Toys 4 Tots in our community (bring a new, unwrapped toy for a boy or girl). For info call (530) 344-5088.
