The Placerville Downtown Association’s membership is made up of the merchants in the downtown district (see district map).  A portion of each business license fee is allotted to the PDA for the purposes of promoting and enhancing the business opportunity in Downtown.  The PDA is overseen by a volunteer board of directors and has one part-time paid administrative assistant.  Most events are run by committees with the volunteer efforts of many in the merchant community and the support of the PDA’s administrative assistant.  Our larger events have contracted professional coordinators and are supported by the PDA.  

Proceeds from PDA events support the work of the Association which includes marketing and event coordination.  Our events create community which in turn supports the businesses of Main Street.
