Hangtown Days, Saturday June 8, 1pm to 7pm

The Hangtown Days event is sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association and SMUD and it will welcome the Highway 50 Association’s 70th Anniversary Wagon Train as it rolls through Placerville on June 8, 2019.  It is also the celebration of El Dorado County’s rich historic heritage.

We are encouraging people of all ages to dress up and join the foot parade which will kick off the celebration.  Participants can decorate a small wagon to pull, ride a stick horse, or just walk along.  Participants for the walking parade must submit an application which can be downloaded at

1:00 p.m. Hangtown Marshals shoot out in Front of Cary House

1:00 p.m. Gold Rush Chorus at the Bell Tower                  

1:30 p.m. Foot Parade from the Courthouse down to Stagecoach Alley and back to the Bell Tower for a drawing

2:15 p.m. Hangtown Marshals shoot out at the Bell Tower

3:00 p.m. Wagon Train Comes through

3:30 p.m. Jammin' Dance at the Bell Tower

3:30 p.m. Hangtown Marshals shoot out at the Cary House  

4:00 p.m. Stick Horse Race by the kids meet at T.W.Bonkers

4:00-7:00 p.m. Music and Dancing on the Street with The Sky Kings, Hickory Wind and The Random Strangers
