Do you like color? Are you creative but not artistic? Then Kelsey's Needle Krafts is the place for you!
Kelsey's is the only full-service needlework shop in El Dorado or Sacramento County. Kelsey's specializes in Embroidery, Counted Cross-Stitch, Temari, Huck and Charted Needlepoint and carries all the supplies needed for those stitchery techniques. Fibers, fabrics, needles, hoops, beads, charms, kits, etc. are all available. Kelsey's stocks hundreds of the most popular designer's latest designs and if they don't have something, they can order it.
Want to learn a new technique or enhance your skills? Kelsey's offers classes in many techniques. The first Saturday of every month is dedicated to classes for the novice stitcher (contact Kelsey's for cost and details). More advanced classes are also offered—check their website for more details.
Kelsey's also offers workshops by internationally known designers, such as Sandy Vanosdall of The Sweetheart Tree, Laura Perin of Laura J Perin Designs, Claudia Dutcher of Dutch Treat Designs and Margaret Bendig of Margaret Bendig Designs. This is your opportunity to meet and learn from leading designers.
On the Third Saturday of each month, it's UFO (Un-Finished Object) night where stitchers are welcome to bring in their projects, sit around our beautiful table and stitch the evening away. Also, every Tuesday and Wednesday, you can participate in "Sit-n-Stitch" from 10am to noon.
Kelsey's is a cooperative business run by seven dedicated ladies interested in keeping the skills of stitching alive and well in the area. At any given time, you will be helped by the experienced owners Sue, Anneke, Donna, Karen, Lisa, Karryn or Dina. Between the seven of them, they know more about stitching than any one person!
