5PM to 9PM. Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street galleries and merchants host changing art shows and late night shopping every third Saturday of the month. Demonstrations, refreshments, music and more. For information please call (530) 672-3436.
February 15th, 2014: "Sweet & Spicy" Placerville Art Walk,
5PM to 9PM. Historic Downtown Placerville. This 3rd Saturday Art Walk will showcase the restaurants and galleries on Main Street. A Sweet & Spicy Appetizer Cook-Off will be featured with judging by El Dorado High School Culinary Arts students. Find out which businesses win the contest and then enjoy the appetizers and special menu selections that evening at the winning restaurants. April 11th, 2014: Girls Night Out
6PM to 9PM. This fun, Friday night event focuses on activities that appeal to women. The 7th Annual Girls Night Out will feature a Fabulous 50's theme, so "We're gonna rock around the block that night!" Come out and discover Historic Main Street. Merchants stay open late to showcase all the great things they have to offer. Check in at the Bell Tower to pick up a program, purchase a Scavenger Hunt card or enjoy a special 50's inspired beverage. Activities include entertainment, Scavenger Hunt, games, prize drawings, man caves, health and beauty specials, massage, restaurant specials, dance demonstrations, jitterbug contest, sales & promotions, food, chocolate, olive oil samplings, and much more. April 11th – May 11th: Main Street Tagline Contest
PDA invites the community and visitors to help define our Main Street's brand, character, style and personality with a Tagline! The winning tagline (and its creator) will be announded at the Main Street Matters Reveal Celebration on June 21st around 5pm. MAY 18th, 2014: Hangtown Car Show

Saturday Farmers Market, 8AM-Noon
This event will feature fresh produce, flowers and other items from local farmers. On Historic Main Street in the Ivy House lot near Cedar Ravine. For info call (530) 622-1900.
JUNE 7th, 2014: Wagon Train & BBQ Rib Cook Off
12PM-2:30PM –Main Street will welcome the Highway 50 Association's 65th Annual Wagon Train with a host of fun activities including Server's Races, the Beard Contest, gold-panning, country music, western style shoot-outs, refreshments & more. The Wagon Train will come down Historic Main Street at about 2pm on its way from the Broadway Village area and proceed on to the "End of the Trail" celebration and dinner on Placerville Drive. Banners on Parade
This is our 10th Anniversary of Art on Parade! Download the 2014 Invitation and Application package here. This community art project will feature over 30 artistically decorated banners on light poles along Main Street in Placerville. This is a collaborative effort of artists, businesses, organizations, individuals and city government that promotes the arts in historic downtown Placerville. These beautiful banners are on Main Street and will be for sale at a Silent Auction at the October 18th, 2014, Art & Wine Festival, as well. or more info contact (530) 672-3436. JUNE 21st, 2014: "Main Street Matters" Reveal Celebration
Wednesday Main Street Farmers Market, 4PM-Dusk
This event will feature fresh produce, flowers and other items from local farmers on Historic Main Street around the Bell Tower. For info call (415) 250-5337.
4PM to 7PM. The "Reveal" will celebrate the buildings on Main Street that were painted as part of Benjamin Moore's "Paint What Matters" Contest that Placerville won (one of 20 cities in North America) by voting for the makeover! Other supplemental activities are being coordinated to give Main Street an even grander "reveal." Entertainment, refreshments, cake, speeches and more will be featured at this very special event that proves that Placerville's Main Street Matters! Thank you to Benjamin Moore and our dedicated community! More details to follow!
JUNE 28th, 2014: Bell Tower Brewfest
6PM to 9PM.This popular Placerville event will be hosted by downtown merchants and will include a street closure for the enjoyment and safety for all patrons. If you are interested in sampling over 40 different craft brews, tickets will need to be purchased for patrons over 21 years of age. Entertainment will feature Achilles Wheel, Shauna Lea & The Hired Guns Band, and the Ice House Blues Band performing live during the festival. TICKETS ARE LIMITED for the brew-tasting and expected to sell out, so plan on getting them early. Please be responsible and bring a NON-DRINKING DESIGNATED DRIVER, or make prior arrangements with our local taxi companies. Tickets for the 2014 Brewfest are are available now online here. 8AM - 3PM in Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street closes to host the 17th Annual Craft Faire with over 100 artisans from all over the West featuring pottery, jewelry, woodwork, quilted and decorating items, dolls, garden items, soaps, candles, food and much, much more. OCTOBER 18th, 2014: Art & Wine Festival
6PM - 9PM. Over 30 foothill wineries will offer samples of their wines inside merchant locations on Historic Main Street in Placerville. In addition, the works of many local artists will be featured in the galleries and the “Banners On Parade” community art project will be displayed on Main Street and sold during the silent auction that evening. Music at the Bell Tower, art demonstrations & hors d’oeuvres, too. Sample award-winning wines in one convenient location without driving to all the wineries! TICKETS ARE LIMITED for the wine-tasting and will be available in September at Main Street merchants and online at this website in starting in early September. OCTOBER 31st, 2014: Trick or Treat on Main Street
4PM - 6PM in Historic downtown Placerville. Main Street merchants hand out candy (while supplies last) to trick-or-treaters for this great family event. There will be a DJ at the Bell Tower and a Costume Contest (sponsored by the 20-30 Club) at 6PM. NOVEMBER 28th, 2014: Festival of Lights
Festival of Lights 5:30PM – 8PM on Historic Main Street in Placerville. The old-fashioned festivities will close Historic Main Street and begin around 5:30PM at various locations up and down Main Street with music, entertainment, visits with Santa, stagecoach rides (4-6pm) and the tree-lighting at 6PM at the Courthouse. DECEMBER 7th, 2014: 37th Annual Christmas Parade
This big parade takes place rain or shine and starts at the Broadway Plaza parking lot on upper Broadway in Placerville and continues down Main Street. Sponsored by The Mountain Democrat and benefitting Toys 4 Tots in our community (bring a new, unwrapped toy for a boy or girl). DECEMBER 1-12, 2014: The 12 Days of Christmas

Santa will be arriving in Historic Downtown Placerville to listen to those special wishes on the following dates: December 6th at Kiddlywinks (262 Main) from 11AM-2PM; December 13th at CandyStrike Emporium (398 Main) from 1-4PM.
